Steel strapping is the highest tensile strength tensional strapping available. Strap and Wrap IPS carry a complete range of widths and thicknesses as well as variations in the grade of steel. Steel strapping is now used only for heavy duty applications where high strength and minimal stretch are required. Surface finishes for steel strap include: paint, paint and wax, bluing or zinc and wax. Applications include steel coils, Steel tubing and pipe, baling and roll end-binding.
Experience
Strap and Wrap IPS has more than 100 years of combined experience supplying steel strapping systems to the Australian market. There are two categories with in our steel strapping range, ST (standard grade) strapping and Super 950 HT (Heat Treated High Tensile) strapping.
Strap and Wrap ST (standard grade)
ST steel strap is a cold rolled, medium carbon steel strapping engineered to yield a higher breaking strength at a thinner gauge than regular duty steel strapping.
ST steel strap is available in widths of 13, 16 and 19mm, as well as a selection of gauges and finishes to suit the specific requirements of your application.
Strap and Wrap SUPER 950 HT (Heat Treated High Tensile)
SUPER 950 HT is a cold-rolled, HEAT TREATED, medium carbon steel strapping that has a high tensile strength and excellent shock resistance for the heaviest applications. SUPER 950 HT is available in widths of 16, 19 and 32mm as well as a selection of gauges and finishes to suit your specific application requirements.

Strap and Wrap IPS Australian manufactures of steel strapping BALE LOCKS (EASY BANDS).
Steel strapping BALE LOCKS are ‘cut to length’ pieces of steel strapping that have a joining mechanism cut into each end. They are very effective in compressible packs such as cotton, wool, industrial waste, recycling bales etc. BALE LOCKS are available in both ST and SUPER 950 HT strapping and can be cut to any length. No tensioning is needed as the packs expand into the bale locks when compression is released.
